Here at St. Mary’s parish, we recognize the great need to spread awareness about the destructive nature and evil of abortion and euthanasia. We also recognize the great need to champion the right to life of all of God’s children, to savour the goodness of human life, and to accompany on the path of healing all our brothers and sisters in the world reeling from post-abortive trauma.
The main aim of the Pro-Life Group is not only to instil a respect for life in our community but to spur on our parish family to make a difference – upholding the Culture of Life by words and example. St. Mary’s has been partnering with the Chilliwack Pro-Life Society for decades now and as we continue to ‘set our faces like flint’ (Isaiah. 50:7), together we’ll make a life saving difference for the decades to come.

PRAYER FOR REVERENCE FOR LIFE
Almighty God, giver of all that is good, we thank You for the precious gift of human life: For life in the womb, coming from your creative power. For the life of children, making us glad with their freshness and promise. For the life of young people, hoping for a better world. For the life of people who are disabled, teaching us that every life has value, For the life of the elderly, witnessing to the ageless values of patience and wisdom. Like Blessed Mary, may we always say "YES" to Your gift. May we defend it and promote it from conception to its natural end. And bring us at last, Our Father, to the fullness of eternal life in Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
