A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE KNIGHTS COLUMBUS COUNCIL 3478
Serving St. Mary's Parish since 1952, the Chilliwack Knights of Columbus is 150+ members strong. Who are these men they call Knights? Well they are ushers, choir members, lectors, extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion, prison ministry workers and strong supporters of not only the Church but of St. Mary's School. The big screen and audio system at the church, a school bus and new tables & chairs for the gym are just some of the items we purchased over the years. In the community we offer our support to Chilliwack Community Services; we support some of the public schools through their Bowes of Hope program providing nourishing snacks for students; we offer up $5000 in bursaries annually to 3 Chilliwack High Schools and St. Jean Brebeuf Secondary; and we are strong supporters of the Chilliwack Pro-Life Society.
One of our greatest success is the support we offer members and their families through the Knights of Columbus Insurance Program, ensuring that Brother Knights are well taken care of in their retirement years along with financial support for their families in their hour of need.
